About Me
Shalmali Wagle is an Architectural Designer and Writer, currently working at an architecture firm in Austin, TX USA. She has previously completed her Master of Architecture from the Savannah College of Art & Design, Savannah USA; her Masters in Design Studies from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Cambridge USA; and her Bachelor of Architecture from Manipal University, India. Her work experience includes six years in architectural practice and two years in architectural editorial curation.
Her approach operates at the intersection of architecture, theory, and psychology; and her philosophy demonstrates a keen interest in fertilizing architecture with intelligence from an array of disciplines through strong grounded research. She strongly believes in the power and agency of design as an apparatus that shapes human psychology, behavior and emotions, thus becoming demonstrative of the individuals that it represents, their culture, politics and society.
