REFURBISHING WULAI FOR COHESIVENESS THROUGH VISUAL INVESTIGATION

An Urban Design Project in Taiwan dealing with Sensitive Indigenous Communities.

Dealing with a highly contoured site and an extremely sensitive aboriginal community, the project traces the various layers of the 'Invisible Cities' of Italo Calvino's imagination to interpret their meaning in the single cohesive town of Wulai and to integrate them into a single unified whole through complex visual connections.
